Survivor Kaoh Rong Episode 3 Review

Come on in guys for my Survivor Kaoh Rong Episode 3 review where I use classic Survivor quotes to assess the latest episode.

This week we saw Brawn battle over an idol, Beauty choke the chicken and Brain outwitting each other.

Click below and I will tell you how smart, good looking and lovable I am. Spoilers below.

I can get loud too! WHAT THE F***? (AKA the quote(s) of the week)

“When you get into a battle with me, be prepared to lose to better, smarter tactics. The bomb doors are open. Prepare to fire!” -Debbie

This section might just be renamed by a Debbie quote sometime this season. I can feel it.

Oh my god these guys are so dumb! (AKA this episode’s worst decision)

I could rag on Dumb and Dumber from the Brains tribe for being so blind to their position in the game. But to be fair to them, I don’t think anyone thought Debbie had game. It’s pretty dumb to underestimate anyone in this game but I can’t completely blame them.

Plus there was an even bigger dumb move. And that was Alecia sharing her idol clue with Cydney. Alecia is definitely at the bottom and her only hope was for either a hidden immunity idol, a tribe swap or both. My guess is she thought she could leverage this clue with Cydney to get on her side but even if that worked the tribe is deadlocked at 2-2. Plus you know what is better leverage than a hidden immunity idol clue? A hidden immunity idol. Had Alecia gotten the idol and then told Cydney that would’ve been one thing. But she shared information on the idol without actually having it. I don’t really see the point.

I’ve been bamboozled! (AKA what surprised me this episode)

Well last week I predicted that the editors were setting us up for a Joe versus Liz battle and that Liz would come out on top. Well it turned into a Liz/Peter versus Debbie battle and Debbie won. So let’s just say I didn’t see that one coming. Maybe it was because Liz was my Survivor crush of the season and I was blinded by that?

The surprise behind this surprise was how quickly the alliances shifted from the young ins (Aubrey, Neal, Peter, Liz) to the new alliance of Aubrey, Neal, Joe and Debbie. I definitely didn’t see that one coming. #Blindside

Who is this jackass? (AKA who has no shot to win and why?)

We were presented with three people who seem to be on the chopping block for the next episode. Beauty Nick, Brainy Peter and Brawny Alecia. Nick’s edit is nonexistent, Peter’s edit is showing him to be a narcissist and Alecia’s edit is dumb blonde/underdog. So which of these three has absolutely no shot to win?

I initially thought it was Peter because he is so smug and socially inept. But something tells me he is playing that up for the cameras. Plus he was nearly voted off so he should have a fire under his ass to fix things. I think he can still refocus and has a slight, tiny chance at a win.

I then thought it was Alecia because, well, the poor thing is not coming across as a smart player. But there is something about her that tells me she’s playing the “I had no idea what I was doing but I figured it out by the end” role and will do some damage in this game. People are underestimating her and that’s dangerous.

And then I thought about Nick. The only thing is, there is nothing to think about Nick. He’s spoken about four times. Twice about his good looks and twice about not caring that they were killing the chicken. I have no idea what story, if any, he has. So I think Nick is the least likely to win.

Stick to the plan (AKA who is in a good position if they just stick to the plan?)

Anna went up to Caleb and presented an opportunity to join the girl’s alliance in Beauty. They didn’t show Anna going to Tai which tells me that Caleb has the power in this plan. This is a good plan for Caleb. He’s a young, athletic challenge threat come post merge but if he can stay in the numbers and use the three women in front of him as a shield, it just might work. Let the girls play the game and cut the throats Caleb, while you just sit back and wait for your moment to strike.

This is my island (AKA who is running the show)

Um, dare I say it’s Debbie? How did this happen? Who cares, it’s glorious and I hope her reign over the game continues for a long time.

FORGET YOU. GO HOME. GOODBYE (AKA my last words for the fallen Survivor)

Oh Liz, I must admit that you were my winner pick. At least you did better than my Worlds Apart winner pick (So). I honestly do believe you could have been a good player had Peter been eliminated instead of you. I’m hoping for you to get a Kelley Wentworth esque second chance to validate picking you as a winner.
