Survivor Worlds Apart Episode 2 Review

Come on in guys for my Survivor Worlds Apart Episode 2 Review where I use classic Survivor quotes to assess the latest episode.

This season is shaping up to be very entertaining. So far the tribes have played to their collar cliches. White Collar are strategic, Blue Collar are good at challenges and No Collar are social. And this week we learned that despite their differences in careers there is one thing that every Collar is good at, getting naked. Click below and I guarantee you I won’t get naked.

I can get loud too! WHAT THE F*^@? (AKA the quote(s) of the week)

“I can’t raw dog in jeans.” Dan, Blue Collar

“I’m going to surprise you for a fat guy.” Dan, Blue Collar

“Water has always been the black man’s kryptonite.” Will, No Collar

Oh my god these guys are so dumb! (AKA this episodes worst decision)

The worst decision for my eyes was definitely Shirin and Max naked. But the worst strategy decision? The entire No Collar tribe. Especially Nina.

To start, the young alliance of Hali, Jenn and Joe decided to split to vote. And not only that but they shared this information with Nina’s closest ally Will. Being nervous about a hidden immunity idol is a good excuse but why share your exact plan with the guy in the middle? It would’ve been better to explain why Will would want to avoid a tie and how he would be in the majority and safe at the next tribal.

Either way that still wasn’t the worst strategy decision. That title belongs to Nina. You see Nina was given a beautiful gift. Despite being a poor social player and weak at challenges she found herself in a strong alliance of three with Will and Vince. Unfortunately in a three tribe format two alliances of three will end up in a tie. Fortunately for Nina and Co the other alliance was planning on splitting their votes. Basically Nina’s alliance could easily get Jenn out and then control their tribe for a good amount of time. Unfortunately Nina couldn’t stick to the plan! She told Will about how Vince considered voting for Will briefly due to his lack of challenge prowess. This sent Will over the top and Will ended Vince’s game in a hurry. Now Jenn, Joe and Hali have all of the power. And Vince officially hates Youtube videos and sandwiches thanks to Will.

I’ve been bamboozled (AKA what surprised me this episode)

I was surprised by how many naked asses there were. And I was surprised than Dan is a challenge beast. And Joaquin’s social game is an even bigger surprise. But the biggest bamboozlement? Mike’s lack of a social game.

I get it, he is a work-hard guy. But come on Mike! You seem fun and happy-go-lucky! I’m sure you love basketball even! Relax a little alright? Just ask Rob Cesternino about how others feel being a junior deputy firewood bitch. It doesn’t go over well.

Another surprise is that Max stripped down naked in order to get some alone time. When is alone time in Survivor ever a good idea? Well he’s the professor so I guess he has some sort of reasoning for it.

Who is this jackass? (AKA who has no shot to win and why?)

Nina can’t hear, go skinny dipping or win this game. She is a crier. She needs lots of attention and reassurances. And apparently she never watched Survivor The Amazon, you know the only other season with a deaf contestant? Ironically enough that season also had two naked young ladies who made the deaf girl feel like an outcast. Perhaps a bit of pregame research would have done Nina well. But it is too late. She is done.

Stick to the plan (AKA who is in a good position if they just stick to the plan?)

Tyler and Hali are in great positions. They are sitting back sort of like Natalie Anderson from San Juan Del Sur. Both are in the majority alliances and both have major threats (Max and Joe, respectively) in front of them to distract everyone else.

This is my island (AKA who is running the show)

As crazy as it sounds Rodney is slaying the social game. Luckily for this guy there are two characters on his tribe that are imploding in Mike and Dan. While Dan took a step forward with his challenge skills, he also took a step backwards by losing his underwear. Meanwhile it looks like Mike’s situation will get even stickier next week. None of the girls like these two guys and they are getting closer to Rodney every day. Rodney is taking full advantage and using this to control the tribe. Unbelievable.

FORGET YOU. GO HOME. GOODBYE (AKA my last words for the fallen Survivor)

Oh Vince Sly, what could have been. You were creepy, fun, ridiculous and smart. You should have been the next Coach and we should have seen you for many seasons in the future. But life isn’t fair and this week we lost a great character. May your coconuts sell forever and may your feathers rest in peace.
